| Getting Your
Business on the Web . . .
I have met so many people that
think getting their business on the web is just too time
consuming. Granted it takes some time to consider the
message you want to convey to the world. But many people in
business have marketing material in place that can be used to
build a website.
- Brochures
- Business Cards
- Mission Statement
- Vision Statement
- Simply a clear list of
services or products
Websites DO NOT fall under the
category "if you build it, they will come." Don't feel
like you have to have everything you want on a website prepared
before you start to build your site. A website can be a work in
progress.
Getting Started
You Need to Register a
Domain Name and Purchase "hosting" for your website. It
is reasonably priced. I am now offering products from a TOP domain
name seller.

If you need it, I have a
web planning worksheet you can complete in order to give you an
idea of what is needed on your site. We need to determine:
What pages your website
will contain
-
Home Page
-
About Us
-
Contact Us
-
Services
-
Products
What information will be
contained on these pages.
We need to determine a
color scheme for your site. If you have marketing material in
place and/or a logo - the site should be designed to match it, in
order to keep your "branding."
Once we talk about and
decide the general colors and feel of the site I will design a
splash page for your review. We'll tweak it until it's right and
then building your site based on the approved design theme will
commence.
As the site progresses .
. .
I'll keep you up-to-date
on the progress, any ideas I come up with and any questions I have
or outstanding issues needing to be addressed. I'm not just here
to design your site. I really am here to help your business grow
and succeed.
